City Market Hall

The Central Sofia Market Hall  is an indoor marketplace in the centre of Sofia. It was opened in 1911 and today it is an important, popular shopping centre with dozens of various shops and market stalls located inside the building, which spreads on over 3,200 m² (34,500 sq ft). The recently renovated and modernised building has preserved the original style and Neo-Renaissance architecture, which also possesses some Neo-Byzantine and Neo-Baroque elements and feature. The facade is truly remarkable, with its iconic clock tower and ornamental intricacy. An amazing filming location which serves as a period exterior as well as a modern marketplace interior that has kept the spirit of the good old days, and can play as a location from anywhere from central to western Europe, to North America, and even some parts of the modern-day, urban middle East.
