Bulgaria’s largest karstic spring – Kleptuza – with a flow of 580 to 1180 l / s fills up two beautiful artificial lakes, which are among the most popular places for rest and relaxation of guests and residents of the famous SPA resort town Velingrad – just 2 hours away from Sofia. Visitors can rent pedal boats, and around the lake there are several restaurants.
In the area you get dense forests with centennial black pine trees. There are also over 50 different species of trees and shrubs, unusual for the area. Herb plantations consist of over 260 different species.
