Mosque

This mosque was built in 1566 and is an interesting architectural creation, which reflects the Ottoman architectural and religious thought from the 16^th century. The base of the building is rectangular, and the central dome (15 meters in diameter) is surrounded by 4 smaller domes situated at the 4 corners of the base, and the tall minaret completes this beautiful architectural composition. The front holds an extension to the main building, on top of which there are 3 more smaller domes. The walls were built by carved stone masonry, and the space between the stone rows are layered with rows of red bricks. The columns are made from a single-piece carved stone monoliths, and the arch above the main entrance is also made from carved stone. The main dome is covered with lead sheets. This remarkable architectural and cultural monument can be a great location for various film projects.
