Royal Palace

The former Royal Palace is situated just outside Sofia, no more than 10 minutes away from the airport, and today it is the official residence of Tsar Simeon II and his family. It is one of the several Royal palaces in Bulgaria, but this Royal estate stands out with the relatively modern (1909-1914) architecture, described as “exquisite interpretation of the Plovdiv baroque with Viennese decorative elements”, and the rather extensive lot on which the two buildings of the palace were built, surrounded by a huge Landscape Park with alleys, alpineum gardens, trees and plant species from 5 different continents, an artificial lake with water lilies and a wooden cabin, greenhouses, old horse stables, and other amenities. This film location is great for period feature films, documentaries and TV commercials, photoshoots and events.
